ugh. stupid me.
Jun. 1st, 2009 01:42 pmI am allergic to peanuts.
not deathly but... itchy & hives etc. each exposure the reaction is more severe. Which means eventually yes - I'll get the full on anaphalaxis shock.
Today I ate half a granola bar before thinking hmmm this is crunchy..
J has been doing the groceries.
guess I should have read the LABEL!
Took two allergy pills, am currently itchy. I'm the only one that eats granola bars in this house. Usually I toss them in my gig bag in case I need some food before/after teaching, on my way to a gig - you know. safe, quick, transportable, never spoil food.
glad I ate it at home instead of SATURDAY NIGHT when I was at the gig.

One reason I prefer to do my own shopping & cooking: too many food restrictions. Allergic to seafood and acidic/oxalic foods cause me almost endless grief.

Date: 2009-06-01 05:55 pm (UTC)& he knows I'm allergic. He's the better cook of the two of us.
Maybe he's trying to bump me off for the insurance money? j/k.
