so... today I am heading over to my parents to see if my dad can figure out what's up with the check engine light on my truck.  Then I'll come home and try to make some more progress on my unfinished to-do list.

The performance Saturday went well.  We had a few worries that it might get canceled on account of rain but it passed after a few sprinkles.

got some good photos out of it.

What I'd really like to do is go back to bed for a couple more hours....

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

You usually need a scan tool to diagnose a check engine light, but the good thing is, they rarely indicate anything serious with the vehicle. What year and model of truck is it?

Congrats on the performance! :)

yes & he has one.

oddly enough the light went off on my drive over there, the scanner says - nothing wrong either. odd odd odd.
(I drive a 2005 Aztek - great little truck)

should have photos up & posted soon.

Sometimes when the ECU doesn't set a 'hard code' the problem can be intermittent, and if you start & drive it a certain number of times (or miles) after the light comes on, it'll go out on its own and not store a code. But if it lights again, then check it out ASAP to see which code it lists. A lot of times it's something simple, like a loose gas cap.
