Why am I all of a sudden rethinking all my costume choices? 

If I had another week to go I'd probably start over and make a complete new outfit... with red sparkle pants... or ooooh a red sparkle trumpet skirt -   no probably the pants with a fully attached panel skirt over top...

and maybe even start/finish that orange tribal bra that's been pinned to my dressmaker's dummy for ... months now.

I had good reasons for choosing the outfits I did.  so why am I second guessing myself NOW?

Because it's human nature to second guess oneself at the last minute! Probably just a little anxiety. Ignore that talk in your head. I'm sure the costumes you're planning will be just fine. :)
