When I was a little girl I used to balance a glass of water on my forehead and go from standing position to laying down on my back and back up again. Of course I was only allowed to do this outside.
After that... sword isn't that hard. Plus as heavy as this one is I've worn a small groove in my skull.
& yes that's the vest I was sewing the night before the show...
this sword cost me $90. I've been thinking I'd like to sell it and get something a bit smaller.
Top rate sword is a Saroyan- considered best for bellydance $200-$250 with shipping..
I really want a Dragon Scimitar(fair copy of the Saroyan) which runs about $120 or so... but they were out of stock last time I tried.
Then there's the Balady which is dirt cheap at $60 or so, and the Cas Iberia another monster that seems to have vanished from the market - I think it ran around $250-300.
There's also these wimpy little cabaret blades - I have one but... I probably won't use it for anything other than teaching tool. $50? or so
