Silk Veils

I've decided to graduate to a silk veil.

I've only worked with chiffon & polyester blends in the past. too much static with my hair.

Do I want a rectangle or a half circle?

How long should it be? - I find the 3yd chiffon -too long for my 5'5" height - but the 2 yd seems kinda short for some moves. I don't want to alter it but I will if I must.

Suggestions for vendors also welcome. Thanks.

truthfully the longer you work with the veils, the better the longer ones work. i have to quit using anything with anything less than 3 yds. my teacher mary weed is about 5'2" and always uses 4 yds. taking her class was amazing.

Doesn't it depend what you want to do with it? Some moves work better with a half circle - like a teacher who could spin it with one arm to look like a full circle. Or the other hand, I've hated being in classes where you were supposed to slip your veil and pick up the opposite corners from those you'd been holding - that requires a rectangle.

Do you have any favourite or signature moves with a veil?
