no class at the fitness centre. not enough interest.

so looks like I am going to sign up at the university fitness centre and if it is a dud ... I'll switch to Vicki's class.

or maybe I'll run an ad everywhere I can think of trying to find other dancers/students who just want to get together, practice and pool tapes. If I can get a decent group maybe I'll think about begging one of them to start low cost lessons.

I am *thinking* about looking for other belly dance students who are looking for a class... particularly of the inexpensive variety.

Vicki - teaches a decent enough class but they are Monday nights at the Holistic Wellness Centre and Actifit(?) on Tuesdays. (both in Windsor) Monday night conflicts with the cheap class at the University and Tuesday I have another class.

I live in the County. Town of Essex actually. Our local fitness club ran ads for a belly dance class last spring but ... since I was already signed up with Vicki I didn't go but they said they'd be running it again in the fall.

I have a few tapes/DVD and I was thinking that if I could get a few people...I know one or two who *might* be interested... maybe we could all meet once a week and either show each other various moves or watch a tape or something... Since I have taken a few classes ... I could probably teach a real basic beginners class- but I'm no where near an expert... but I do know one woman who might be persuaded to teach if I can get her to come....

The university has a class and will let you rent space from them real cheap if you have two students in the club.

I'll let you know if I actually do anything with this.

When are you moving down? for school? or work?

i'm already here. i'm starting school.
the one thing about a class that's dropin is that it requires little commitment. b/c i'm not sure about what i'll be doing.
but i dunno.
