fans and... the postal strike.

I ordered fans for my students - they were shipped but are caught up in the postal strike and will remain in the processing centre in Missisauga until the postal lockout is over. That's fine they were intended for MY students and they can just wait.
I NEED to order fans for the class I am teaching in Chatham. On JULY 23. I placed an order but was waiting for one remaining colour before it shipped to me. Which has still not arrived.
Which leaves me currently waiting for the blue fan to arrive at the supplier so he can then have them shipped HERE.... or rather since the postal system disruption I should have them shipped to my Michigan Post office box and then go pick them up.
Talked to the fan supplier today.
The blue fan won't arrive until July 7th! and although the supplier says I should have them in plenty of time for July 23rd it is making me very nervous.
So my thoughts are actually to increase my order from 7 sets to 8 or 9 sets and have it shipped immediately to Michigan Post office box and then when the blue finally does arrive just have that one shipped separately.
Additionally - Price. the price has gone up. So that means if I end up paying duty - I will probably end up losing money on the fans.
I think I will ask my supplier for a discount. - why not - can't hurt. Especially since I am ordering volume here.
