HATE WRITING BIOS
May. 7th, 2012 12:59 pmso - My TROUPE is performing at the end of the month & I have to write a bio.
I HATE writing bios.
Bellisima under the direction of Aiyanna of Belly Dance Essex, is a wonderful group of women who share many things: passion, sorrow, laughter and dedication but most of all - they share a love of belly dance, and the occasional glass of wine.
Frequent performers in the area (or is that bragging?)
I need decent synonyms for diverse - that will help me say - age range 17-55?, tall & thin to short - to not thin.
Friendship
hard work can be FUN. (these women are seriously dedicated. )

Date: 2012-05-08 02:41 am (UTC)"Bellisima first began in 1507 as a ragamuffin troupe of weary travelers that somehow lost their sled dogs and became stranded in a cold and snowy precipice in northern Canada. They began using dance as a way to keep themselves warm as the struggled southward, though once they hit warmer climates they abandoned the art of dance (some say it was one too many rotten tomatoes that hit the mark) and took up trade as professional needle-threaders. Over the years and generations the loosely-organized band had many callings, including duck whispering and auto body detailing, but about 10 years ago, the call of the dance came back to them. This time, instead of attempting interpretive mime dance yet again, they embarked on a very successful career as bellydancers. They have been traveling the area, dancing to appreciative crowds, ever since. They have never forgotten that long-ago sense of camaraderie that saw their forefathers through a difficult time, and their commitment to each other and their passion for dance is evident in every step they take (every move they make, every breath they take)."
