can you help me? page flicker

I got a mother's day gift~!

I know - surprise to ME - since - Marcus and Daisy don't have bank accounts...

but - still-

It's a Sony e-reader. I like it - but it has terrible page flicker when I turn the page.

I was able to get rid of this on J's Blackberry Playbook/Tablet - but... I can't figure it out on the Sony.
I've tried googling for the solution but... no luck so far.

Help would be GREATLY appreciated.
