Mar. 6th, 2007 10:58 amI should be writing this cursed paper.
instead I am cursing my body - trying to understand why I am having a period when it is close to a week and a half early.
waffling over whether I should see my GP.
-
dammit. write the paper then worry about the rest.

Date: 2007-03-07 02:48 pm (UTC)My physical is due in MAY.
I'm going to feel so stupid if he just says... well I'll examine you in May and in the meantime.. you probably just missed a pill ...
...
as for how the pill works
you are supposed to take the pill everyday at the same time everyday. But if you miss one - or are several hours late sometimes your body isn't getting its regular estrogen dose and says.. 'oh.. must be time for my period'

Date: 2007-03-07 11:00 pm (UTC)Bullshit. There is no reason to to feel stupid. You have something going on and you need answers. You are a strong woman, don't back down from anyone! It's your body and you know it better than anyone. You would not have mentioned this had it not seemed abnormal to you.
PS: Heavy periods and clotting are very significant signs of something awry, even more so for women who are on the pill. You need to know why your patterns are changing. It could be something as simple as you missed a pill, (though I doubt that) - or that maybe your body is entering a menopause phase. I wouldn't know how all that works as I've not had a period in twenty years, so I'm somewhat removed from how that works - other than what I've heard others relay.
